„Eero WiFi“ maršrutizatorius yra puikus ir atrodo neapibūdinamas. Viena iš gerųjų savybių yra galimybė pridėti VPN teikėjo programinę įrangą prie savo prietaiso. Some of them you can do with the eero Plus VPN, by installing VPN software on the client device. Some of them you can do with eero in its regular ISP mode, because eero supports transparent VPN passthrough. And others are better implemented in other ways (you really wouldn't like the performance of passing all your traffic through a VPN tunnel) If it's just your ISP's prying eyes you'd like Eero + EdgeRouterX for VPN. I'm currently using a Ubiquity EdgeRouterX plus a few wireless access points in my home. I'm replacing the access points with a few Eero Gen 2s. I'd like to try using the Eero as the router, but the EdgeRouterX has a few features I need to retain. Namely blocking an IP from WAN (security cameras) and VPN (to access the security cameras remotely). It seems my options Noob question - Eero, VPN and ISP-provided Modem/Router. Hey everyone. I'm looking for inspiration and direction. What I want is to send all my internet traffic through a VPN service (that is Open on). I have a ISP- provided modem/router that has a patch cable out of it into an Eero Pro which my devices pass through. My modem/router doesn't support Open VPN and neither does Eero. I wondered if 13/03/2020
The Eero network seems to have used one of the other Eero devices that actually WAS connected the wired LAN to maintain connectivity between the Gateway Eero and the rest of the house as a wired connection (albeit a slightly slower one). It essentially took what was a WiFi only network and converted it into a wired network without me having to do anything. A big kudos to the engineers at Eero.
Unfortunately pptp is the only vpn protocol these devices support at the moment. It may work 1 time then I am unable to get a connection after that. If I reboot my eero's then again it may work but quickly fails. I have used many routers/firewalls for my job and never had an issue passing pptp traffic outbound. No special rules or port I have subscribed to Eero Plus, and am happy to retain that subscription even if only for VPN access while away from home, but I REALLY want a native VPN option on Eero. I left Orbi for Eero due to current Orbi stability issues, but Netgear will work those out over time, and Orbi supports VPN, which will tempt me (and others) to move on from Eero. „Eero WiFi“ maršrutizatorius yra puikus ir atrodo neapibūdinamas. However, Eero does not support loopback NAT, so I had to configure the VPN in a way that allowed me to access the internal network resources, as if I was actually on the network, while connected to the VPN. I am looking forward to when Eero has better support for VPN on the network. For example, eero router VPN socks5 proxy allows you to connect to American servers and allow you to appear in the USA virtually. Therefore, by using VPN with eero router you can also unblock American sites and content from all over the world. Thirdly, by using eero router private network, it completely encrypts your data.
